Verla differs from most of the museums, where the items on display have been brought from elsewhere and isolated from their original environment. At Verla the opposite applies: traditions are honoured and nothing has been removed. The machines, more or less in running order, are still there for visitors to see and admire - a time travel back to the summer of 1964, when the mill was shut down. Only the mill workers are missing, yet even so they are present in many ways.

The museum is closed in midsummer Friday 22.6. and Saturday 23.6.

In July and August open daily 10:00-18:00

Guided tours in Finnish every hour on the hour (last one of the day starts at 4 pm and in July/ August at 6 pm), languages other than Finnish (English, Swedish, German, Russia) on request.
